The Ukrainian Snake demining machine is ready for serial production after successful tests

Ukrainian engineering company Rover Tech has successfully completed testing of its new demining machine called "Snake". This development has been tested on the test site and received an official certificate of conformity, which allows it to go into mass production. This was announced by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of such an achievement for strengthening security in the combat zone and de-occupied territories.

The "Snake" machine is able to work effectively in conditions of low and medium vegetation, which makes it extremely useful for Ukrainian lands, where the threat of mines remains relevant. It specializes in the disposal of both anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, and is also able to remove stretch marks, which provides a comprehensive approach to clearing areas.

From a technical point of view, "Snake" is quite a maneuverable and light machine, because its weight is a little more than one ton. The width of the working tool of the machine is 1.35 meters, which allows processing up to 2.5 hectares of land per hour of work. Such performance makes the "Snake" particularly useful in large-scale demining operations in agricultural and other areas.

The machine has another important advantage — remote control. The operator can monitor the work of the "Snake" at a distance of up to 2.9 kilometers, which significantly increases the safety of personnel. This is especially important when performing tasks in dangerous environments, when human life is exposed to minimal risks.

The Snake takes only 15 minutes to deploy or collapse, making it extremely mobile and convenient to use in the field. An additional advantage is the possibility of transporting the machine on a conventional trailer, which facilitates its movement between objects.

The price of "Snake" is much lower than foreign analogues and varies from 14.5 to 20 thousand dollars depending on the configuration. And with the start of serial production, the price may drop even more, making this machine more affordable for widespread use.
