The Ministry of Defense has approved new Ukrainian-made grenades

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially approved and approved new models of Ukrainian-made hand grenades for use in the Armed Forces. Among them is a defensive fragmentation grenade, which is an analogue of the well-known Soviet F-1. The relevant information came from the press service of the Ministry of Defense, which confirmed that the new ammunition has passed all the necessary tests and meets modern requirements for close combat weapons.

The Ukrainian defense industry created this type of grenade for the first time in history. Before that, similar weapons were produced exclusively in other countries, mainly using Soviet technologies. The new ammunition is designed taking into account the needs of modern warfare, and its main purpose is to destroy the open positions of the enemy's manpower.

These grenades are used only for defensive purposes, as their explosive power requires mandatory cover to protect the user himself. Due to their characteristics, grenades of this type provide effective damage to the enemy at considerable distances, which makes them an important element of the arsenal of the Ukrainian military.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense announced the approval of another model of a hand grenade - an offensive remote grenade, which is an analogue of the Soviet RGD-5. Its serial production has already started at Ukrainian enterprises, which allows to fully cover the needs of the Ukrainian army in this category of weapons.

An offensive grenade differs from a defensive one in its design and purpose — it is used during attacks on enemy positions with less threat to the user due to the reduced power of the explosion. This makes her a more flexible tool in various combat scenarios.

Thus, new Ukrainian grenades not only replace Soviet models, but also create new opportunities for defense and offensive on the battlefield, which is an important step in strengthening national defense capabilities.
