In Switzerland, 56 proceedings regarding possible violations of sanctions against the Russian Federation have been initiated, of which fines have already been imposed in 15 cases. This is reported by Reuters.

Switzerland is actively investigating more than 50 cases of alleged violations of the sanctions regime against Russia. Of these proceedings, violations were detected in 15 cases that resulted in the imposition of fines. Other cases remain under investigation.

Half of all open cases were closed after review, but the remainder, including 15 cases with fines, are still under investigation. Specific details about the sectors of the economy or individual companies that may be involved in these breaches have not been disclosed at this time.

The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, which oversees sanctions compliance, declined to comment on specific subjects of the investigation. However, this situation emphasizes Switzerland's determination to comply with international sanctions regimes.

This development demonstrates the seriousness with which Switzerland approaches the issue of enforcing sanctions against Russia. Despite its neutral status, the country actively supports international sanctions imposed in response to Russia's actions.

Such steps on the part of Switzerland indicate its commitment to support global security and stability, even if this requires strict measures against violators of the sanctions regime.
