Strengthening of electricity supply restrictions in 12 regions of Ukraine

25 июн, 10:00

Today, from 13:00, additional restrictions on electricity supply were introduced in 12 regions of Ukraine due to insufficient effectiveness of previous measures. This was reported by the press service of "Ukrenergo".

In particular, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, emergency power cuts have been introduced since 13:00. In addition, from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., restrictions have been increased in such regions as Kyiv (including the city of Kyiv), Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, and Zaporizhia.

Energy experts explain that such measures are forced due to insufficient effectiveness of the previous restrictions, which were introduced by Oblenergo. Previous measures did not give the desired result in reducing consumption, so it was necessary to resort to tougher measures.

Consumers in the specified areas are advised to be prepared for possible power outages. Citizens are also advised to limit the use of energy-intensive appliances during the evening hours to help stabilize the situation.

The situation in the power system remains tense, and power companies are calling on citizens to consume electricity sparingly. This will help reduce the load on the network and ensure a more stable supply of electricity.

Energy experts also remind that additional restrictions may be introduced in the event of a further increase in electricity consumption or new problems in the power system. Therefore, it is important that each consumer contributes to the stabilization of the situation.

"Ukrenergo" continues to monitor the situation and will inform citizens about any changes or new restrictions in electricity supply.
