The eOselya mortgage lending program has become a great help to hundreds of Ukrainian families who dream of owning their own home. More than 4,800 families have already realized their dreams and received preferential loans totaling an impressive UAH 7 billion.
According to the Ministry of Economy, 67% of all soft loans were received by military personnel and security forces, 12% by scientists and teachers, and 9% by healthcare workers at a rate of 3%. It is noted that the program successfully enables different segments of society to gain access to housing.
The eOselya program offers preferential terms for those seeking to purchase an apartment in newly built buildings or those that are not older than three years. In addition, 12% of all loans are granted to those who do not yet own their own housing under the terms of a mass mortgage at 7%.
Last week alone, Ukrainians received 215 loans totaling UAH 335 million under the eHouse program. Out of this number, 109 military and security personnel, 18 teachers, 18 doctors and 5 scientists received loans at 3%, while 59 Ukrainians without their own housing, 4 veterans and 2 homeowners took out loans at 7%.
Most often, loans were taken to purchase housing on the secondary market (159 loans) and from developers (53). In addition, three Ukrainians took out loans to buy apartments that are still under construction.
Kyiv region, Kyiv, Lviv and Volyn regions remain the leaders in terms of the number of loans issued, which underscores the success of the eHouse program in different regions of Ukraine.
