On Sunday, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi expressed support for the Palestinians and their right to self-defense in the context of the conflict between Hamas and Israel. He called for Israel to be held accountable for the threat it poses to the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Ibrahim Raisi had already spoken with the leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad and emphasized his support for the legitimate defense of the Palestinian nation. He held the Zionist regime (Israel) and its supporters responsible for the current threat.

The Iranian President called on Muslim countries to support the Palestinian nation and praised the efforts of Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the cause of resistance. He also pointed to the role of countries such as Syria, Lebanon and Iraq in supporting the Palestinians.

It is important to note that Iran does not recognize Israel and actively supports the Palestinian cause, making it a central part of its foreign policy. This support has caused tensions between Iran and Israel, and both countries accuse each other of sabotage and acts of violence.

According to recent reports, more than 1,000 people have died as a result of the conflict. Israel reports more than 600 dead, while the Gaza Ministry of Health records 370 dead. The governments of both sides continue to search for ways to end this long-running conflict that has caused loss of life and destruction.
