An earthquake was recorded in the Transcarpathian region

On Thursday, September 14, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Transcarpathian region. According to the classification, this earthquake is considered insensible.

The information was provided by the Main Center for Special Control.

"On September 14, 2023, at 11:52:57 local time, the Main Center for Special Control recorded an earthquake with magnitude 2.0 in Zakarpattia region. The epicenter of the event was located 6 kilometers east of the city of Vynohradiv at a depth of 5 kilometers," the agency said in a statement.

It is noted that according to the classification, this earthquake is considered insensible.

"This event does not pose a threat to the population and critical infrastructure of Ukraine," the Main Center for Special Control emphasizes.

It is also reported that the last earthquake in Zakarpattia region was recorded on August 15, 2023 and had a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale.

"The results of processing this data are transmitted to central government agencies, international seismological centers and other consumers of information," the agency emphasizes.
