Ukrzaliznytsia's summer passenger traffic increased by 67% compared to last year

This summer, Ukrzaliznytsia pleases with positive news in the field of passenger transportation. According to the company, summer passenger traffic on domestic routes increased by 67% compared to last year.

The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reported that 6.7 million passengers used domestic trains this summer. This is an impressive figure that demonstrates the high demand for rail transportation in Ukraine.

The most popular routes for passengers were: Kyiv - Lviv, Kharkiv - Lviv, Dnipro - Lviv, Kyiv - Odesa, Kyiv - Slavske, and Kyiv - Vorokhta. These destinations confirm the continued interest of passengers in the various cities of Ukraine, who choose to travel by rail.

In addition, passengers preferred trains to mountain resorts such as Yaremche, Tatariv-Bukovel, Vorokhta, Yasinia, Rakhiv and Slavsko. This demonstrates the popularity of mountain vacation destinations among tourists.

To meet the demand on the most popular routes, Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled 31 additional trains this summer, making 381 trips. The railroad also regularly adds cars to existing trains running in western Ukraine, including Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and other cities.

This year's summer passenger traffic demonstrates the popularity of rail transportation among Ukrainians and visitors to the country, as well as Ukrzaliznytsia's efforts to meet passenger needs and improve the quality of service.
