The United States government has no plans to push an initiative to supply arms to Taiwan through Congress as part of an additional budgetary aid package for Ukraine. The Financial Times previously reported on such plans, but the coordinator of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, denied these claims.

U.S. administration officials have categorically denied journalists' reports of plans to lobby Congress to supply arms to Taiwan as part of efforts to speed up aid to Ukraine. They claim that there are no such intentions.

The U.S. statement on the refusal to supply arms to Taiwan reflects the priority of assistance to Ukraine in the context of the current situation with Russian aggression. The US administration emphasizes that its main task is to support and assist Ukraine in ensuring national security.

The refusal to supply arms to Taiwan may also be related to the desire to maintain stability in the Asian region and avoid increasing tensions between China and Taiwan. The US administration is trying to balance its relations with different countries, taking into account geopolitical factors.

The US administration's continued commitment to providing assistance and support to Ukraine reflects the importance of this partnership for the United States. Ukraine retains the status of a primary ally in the struggle for democracy, stability and security in the region.

The decision not to supply arms to Taiwan also underscores the importance of diplomacy and cooperation between countries in the international arena. The United States is committed to finding solutions that promote peace and stability, and this may require balancing interests and partnerships in different parts of the world.
