As of July 31, the government's eRestoration program has already approved compensation for 4,806 people, totaling UAH 389 million. Despite the fact that 31,176 Ukrainians have applied for assistance, only 15.4% of citizens have been approved for payment. According to the program, these funds can be used by applicants to restore damaged housing.

This was reported by the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine.

Most applications for compensation were received from residents of Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions.

In addition, 520 commissions have been set up at local governments to review applications and inspect damaged housing. These commissions make decisions on the allocation of aid.

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, noted that payments through the eRecovery program are only the first stage, which covers only small-scale repairs.

"Tomorrow we are moving to the next stage - launching compensation for destroyed housing. For those Ukrainians whose housing remained in the occupied territories, or whose housing was damaged and has already been restored or only needs major repairs, mechanisms are already being developed and approved, including jointly with international financial institutions," he added.

As a reminder, as part of the eRestoration program, Diia has launched a beta test of applying for compensation for destroyed housing. Ukrainians now have the opportunity to apply online for compensation from the state for housing destroyed by Russian aggression.
