Dual-zone electricity meters can be beneficial for consumers

Two-zone electricity meters can be beneficial for consumers, and especially for those who are able to rationally distribute electricity consumption during the day. This was reported by the energy supply company Yasno, which is part of the DTEK group. CEO of Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, spoke about the advantages of dual-zone meters and the possibility of saving money thanks to the night tariff.

Currently, the tariff for electricity consumed between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. is half the standard rate and amounts to 1.32 hryvnias. Using a two-zone meter, consumers have the opportunity to rationally plan the use of household appliances that require a lot of energy. According to the published infographic, a family of four can significantly reduce the electricity bill from 792 to 473 hryvnias per month.

The CEO of Yasno emphasized that the use of a two-zone meter is a real opportunity to save, as every hryvnia saved can be considered as earnings. He also pointed to appliances that can be turned on at night to get significant savings, such as boilers, washing machines, dishwashers and other household appliances.

Additional savings can be achieved due to the rational use of electricity during the day, in particular with the help of a refrigerator and other appliances that work around the clock. Rational consumption of electricity will help not only reduce the electricity bill, but also make the energy system more efficient and stable.

It is worth noting that the distribution of electricity consumption during the day can be carried out by a reasonable organization of household needs and the use of devices during the night period, when tariffs are lower.
