The US Senate has unanimously passed legislation allowing the revival of the lend-lease program to supply arms to Ukraine as quickly as possible.

According to Politico, the last time this program was used was during World War II.

The publication notes that the fact that US lawmakers have resorted to such extraordinary tactics shows that the Russian invasion of Ukraine poses a threat to the liberal order.

It also shows that the Western world believes that Ukraine can win the fight against the Russian invaders.

The Lend-Lease for Democracy Act of 2022 will expedite the transfer of critical military equipment and other supplies to Ukraine, cutting the red tape.
