According to preliminary estimates, 5,000 people died in Mariupol during the month-long blockade

According to preliminary estimates, 5,000 people died in Mariupol during the month-long blockade, of whom approximately 210 were children.

About 50 Mariupol residents were burned alive as a result of shelling of one of the city hospitals alone.

This was reported by the mayor of the city, Vadym Boychenko.
 
The mayor also called on the EU countries to strengthen sanctions and impose a full embargo on Russian oil and gas in order to stop Russia's aggression.
