Estonia has prohibited the Russian Yandex.Taxi and proposes to do so across the EU.

Prime Minister Kaja Kallas explained that additional sanctions were necessary to protect Estonia's security: "Banning Yandex gives a clear signal that companies collaborating with Russian security services have no place in Estonia. We have also proposed that the European Union impose sanctions against Yandex," she said. An important reason for the sanctions is Russia's recent decision that Yandex must hand over the personal data it collects to intelligence services.
