"Russian military prisoners are satisfied with their treatment in Ukraine," - Denysova.
Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denysova has visited one of the facilities where Russian prisoners of war are held in Kyiv. All rights under the Geneva Convention on Prisoners of War have been observed. No one has taken off the officers' uniforms, and it still says "Russian Army" on it.
According to her, everyone is satisfied with the attitude of Ukrainians. Moreover, Denysova claims, quoting the Russian soldiers, that their military commanders treat them much worse. The captives said they had been on "exercises" in Russia since December 2021. "And after a month and a half, no one gave them a chance to take a shower even once. But here they can wash, here they are fed, here they are clothed - the attitude is very good".
