The Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, who visited Kyiv with the heads of the Czech and Slovenian governments despite warfare the day before, called on other European leaders to follow their example.

Morawiecki noted that it is important for European leaders to come to Kyiv from time to time. "I urge the leaders of European countries, the President of France, the Chancellor of Germany and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom to go to Kyiv, to look into the eyes of crying mothers, to look closely at the Ukrainian nation, and to strengthen their will to fight,"" he said.

The Prime Minister was asked what is needed now by Ukrainians who are repelling Russia's attack on their country.  "They need our respected partners from the West to put their calculators in boxes, open their consciences and look at what is happening in the middle of Europe, in the third decade of the 21st century," - he said.
