Lithuania has announced the transfer of a new batch of weapons to support Ukraine, expanding its important role in assisting the Ukrainian army. The press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense reported that on December 15, several million rounds of ammunition and several thousand rounds of ammunition for short-range portable anti-tank grenade launchers were delivered to the Ukrainian army. About a thousand folding beds were also transferred.

The report also indicates that Lithuania not only supplies military equipment, but also actively trains Ukrainian soldiers, provides treatment and rehabilitation for Ukrainian soldiers, provides expert advice and allocates funds to international funds to support Ukraine.

Lithuania plans not only to provide customs assistance now, but has also developed a long-term support plan for the period 2024-2026, including military assistance worth 200 million euros.

Emphasizing its determination to counter Russian aggression, Lithuania, along with other countries, stands by Ukraine. In November, it was already announced that Lithuania would donate power generators and field rations, as well as deliver 3 million rounds of ammunition and important equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In addition to providing weapons, Lithuania has taken responsibility for repairing equipment damaged by the war. Today, on December 15, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced that the first repaired Leopard 2 tanks will soon be returned to Ukraine, continuing its long-standing support for Ukraine's defense capabilities.
